Being with children takes a lot of energy.

You can get tired, depleted, stressed and overwhelmed.

Self care allows you to take care of yourself so that you can take better care of everyone else.

5 Aspects of Self Care

Physical

Take care of your body through movement and exercise.

Be aware of your physical surroundings and clutter.

Mental

Use different avenues of learning, like books and podcasts.

Meant self care includes time to destress and have a mental break.

Work on your mindset- focus on the good.

Relaxation

Most of the time, we use social media or TV, but this may not be the relaxation we need.

Make sure that your relaxation leaves you re-charged.

Take time to rest.

Nourish

What we eat and put into our body makes a difference in how we feel and our energy level.

What we need to nourish our body may be healthy or indulgent.

Social

Build connections and relationships that will allow you to feel cared for.

Take the time to care for others through service.

Take time to take care of yourself so that you can take care of the kids you are serving daily.
